Tomball Memorial High School
As a growing community, Tomball needed a new high school. The campus serves approximately 2,200 students in a two-story, 350,000 sq. ft. building. Other amenities include a full sports complex including a football field, soccer field, baseball diamond and tennis courts. In addition, a new agricultural barn provides a place for students to keep livestock. Key electrical needs for the campus included parking lot lights, stadium lights, power and internet connections for computer labs, and dedicated outlets for home economics spaces and metal and wood shops.
Set for completion about three weeks ahead of schedule, the project was completed in March 2011. Pieper's contribution to the project earned the team a Quality In Construction (QIC) award from Gilbane. The purpose of the award is to ensure all work has been installed correctly, is turned over defect-free, has been completed in accordance with the contract and the work meets the owner's expectations.
